Job Description
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Federal Government Sales Executive to lead business development and revenue generation within the U.S. federal government sector. The successful candidate will bring 10–15 years of demonstrated sales experience in the federal market, with a proven record of driving growth, managing complex sales cycles, and developing long-term customer relationships. This individual will play a critical role in expanding our federal footprint and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Role Overview
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets within assigned federal agencies and accounts.
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key federal stakeholders, including program managers, contracting officers, and industry partners.
- Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities through direct customer engagement and collaboration with strategic partners.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including pipeline development, opportunity capture, proposal support, negotiations, and contract award.
- Work in close partnership with internal functions such as capture management, proposals, contracts, legal, delivery, and marketing to ensure the successful pursuit and delivery of solutions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal procurement policies, acquisition cycles, budget priorities, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs).
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to enhance visibility and brand recognition in the federal marketplace.
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales performance metrics and annual revenue goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive sales experience in the federal government sector, with a strong record of quota attainment.
- Established relationships and demonstrated success engaging with senior-level stakeholders across federal agencies.
- In-depth knowledge of the federal procurement process, contracting mechanisms, and acquisition strategies.
- Exceptional business development, consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and capture large-scale contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling technology solutions (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, enterprise software) and/or professional services within the federal market.
- Previous experience working for or partnering with federal systems integrators or prime contractors.
- Demonstrated success in securing multi-million-dollar contract awards.
